The Power of microcarrier-free suspension culture
Traditional pluripotent stem cells are grown as adherent culture, with limited and expensive scalability. Accellta’s proprietary disruptive technology is a platform enabling novel solution for industrialization of stem cells and their derivatives based on high cell concentrations in dynamic culture without microcarriers. Therefore, enables cost-effective mass production of stem cells for clinical applications, regenerative medicine, cell banking and R&D applications. Accellta’s suspension culture can be applied as Maxells or as Single cell suspension on both embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells and several progenitors or fully differentiated cells (e.g., MSCs, Neural progenitor cells, CMs).

Maxells, Accellta’s novel solution for industrialization of embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell culturing, is based on dynamic culturing of stem cells in suspension without microcarriers. Maxells allows uniform cell growth and improved cell differentiation and delivers unprecedented scalability and quality. Maxells enables cost-effective mass production of stem cells for therapeutic purposes, banking and R&D applications. The technology is suitable for both stirred tank and Wave™ bioreactors.
